What Is Baptism?
Water baptism is a significant step of obedience and a public declaration of your faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself was baptized, and we follow His example. Baptism symbolizes your identification with Jesus’ death and burial as you go under the water and His resurrection as you come up.
Baptism represents three key commitments:
• You are a follower of Jesus Christ.
• You are beginning a transformed life in Him.
• You are part of God’s family.
